What is an Intercom?
Door phones, door entry systems or Intercom systems typically consist of an
end-users wall unit that communicates with one or more access positions
located beside entrance doors.
Visitors press a call button and the end-user can then either talk to the
visitor and/or verify who is at the door via a video screen on the wall
unit.
A door release button is provided on the end-user unit to unlock the door or
optionally authorise an elevator to come to the correct floor
